There was a post on Shooting People today about this internet soap opera. I'm just downloading the first episode but it doesn't look all that bad. Although the site does hype the show a bit too much it looks like a good idea. Maybe it will catch on, who knows.
They're also looking for writers and cast etc. so it might be a god way for young writers to cut their teeth on TV. Depending on how good the first episode is I may try and become a writer for the show.
Here's the site:

I've just found out you have to pay a monthly fee of ?60 if you want to write for the show. That rules that out then.

I still haven't had a chance to look at this yet, is it worth watching?

Cheers for the link. An interesting site promoting a novel idea I think.
I just checked it out and I think it's pretty good (seeing as you asked). Have you had a chance to look? I mean I am presuming that for most in it, this is their first proper acting experience. It'll be good to see how they develop in the 2nd episode.
What do you mean by the site "hypes" it up a bit? Oh and I am guessing the ?60 fee is to get commitment from people instead of getting people who just want to be involved when they feel like it.

The second episode went up today and it's a lot better than the first - although Rochelle is still changing hair colour from scene to scene.
They were on Richard and Judy last Friday.

lol, it even got a write up in an IT trade website that i frequent:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/35991.html
the funny thing is, i'm local(ish) but to generalise:
1. soap operas are formulaic uninspiring TV filler
2. i would *never* pay to work on a project unless I was above the line with profit points
3. paulsgrove is a *real* hole, belive me!
i hate the idea, i'm sure it will do well

The Steven Surridge guy who makes it came to my College asking if people wanted to work on it, but nobody did, mostly due to the fee.
I watched the first episode and found it funny more than anything. Surely Lipstick on a window isn't an insurance case.

The amazing hair that changes colour from scene to scene in episode two is a nice touch.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and here's mine:
Soap opera is very popular, but that doesn't make it good. To me, soap is the enemy, I hate it with a passion. I believe it is cheap, easy, take it or leave it rubbish, that over the years has developed its own hilariously bad conventions.
And here you are, creating an internet one. Why soap?! Why not a drama series? You've copied a trashy genre extremely well. If you really want people to learn a craft DON'T make soap operas!
Only my opinion of course.
